This guide to custom crosshairs also covers Battle Mode plus Save, Load, Import, and Export Config. Sliders only help if you can recall them. A reinstall should not wipe two hours of FOV work.
Custom crosshairs for rooms and hipfire
Deadside close fights happen in doors, metro stairs, and dark warehouses. A custom crosshair gives a center point when the vanilla reticle disappears in clutter. It does not replace a Hold aim key. It gives your eye a home.
Use a small, high-contrast dot for hipfire rooms. Use a thinner mark if you already ADS every peek. Keep it visible on both fog and night trees.
Battle Mode when a squad collapses
Battle Mode is the panic layout. Aim plus ESP, less extra clutter. Flip it when a squad hits your wall or when a third party arrives on a mission crate.
It is not a new gun. It is a cleaner screen so you can see Box, View Line, and the aim circle at once. Practice the hotkey on PVE before you need it on scheduled-raid hours.
Build the fight layer with the aimbot setup guide and the ESP ambush guide. Battle Mode only shines when those two are already sane.
Save, load, import, and export
Save Config writes the current sliders. Load Config brings them back. Import and Export move files between installs so a format or reinstall does not reset you.
Keep at least three files: PVE NPC (Always Aim, Aim on NPC), PVP Hold (tight FOV, Visible Check), and loot run (Weapons and Money filters from the resource radar guide).
BattlEye patches can require a new overlay drop. Check Status, finish Setup if the launcher changed, then Import your exported files. Do not rebuild from memory on patch day.

FAQ
Does a custom crosshair replace the aimbot?
No. The crosshair is a visual center. Hold aim, FOV, and smoothness still do the tracking. Use both in rooms.
When should I hit Battle Mode?
When a fight starts and the screen is too busy. You want aim plus ESP without loot glitter. Switch back after the squad is down.
How many configs do I need?
Three is enough: PVE, PVP, and loot. Add a raid-window file if you play scheduled raids every week.
Why export instead of only saving in the menu?
Export survives a reinstall. Save-in-menu can vanish if the folder is wiped. Keep a copy outside the game directory.
What is the first step after a Deadside patch?
Status, then Setup if needed, then Import your files. Test on PVE before a PVP queue.
